Cynthia Rose Romer lives in Connecticut and enjoys collecting family stories; especially the ones that might otherwise be lost.

Her debut novel, Danny Valentino, A Superposition, is deeply personal. It was inspired by a World War II journal of a combat engineer whose handwritten pages became the starting point for an extraordinary untold story, fictionalized from the threads of the man her Great-Uncle was and his wartime experiences.

Cynthia shared a lifetime of memories with her Uncle. Through countless Sunday visits and time spent together, she came to know his voice, his personality, his humor, and the resilience of a man who had lived through war.
